ACRA has a history of over 40 years and is recognized by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the European Union. An external audit company approves ACRA annual report: in 2009, only 8, 6% of the budget was intended to cover the HQ costs.

Today - thanks to the contributions of thousands of supporters and volunteers - ACRA carries out projects that benefit more than 250 thousand people and their families in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

You can donate to ACRA with confidence: ACRA complys with the principles enshrined in the Carta della Donazione (Charter of Donations) published in 1999 by the National Forum of the Third Sector, the Fondazione Sodalitas and the Summit della Solidarietà. The Carta della Donazione is the first Italian code of self-regulation for the collection and use of funds in the nonprofit sector.

When acceding to the Carta, nonprofit organizations such as ACRA commit themselves to ensure to donors and recipients of their social activities a series of rights and also assume behavioral responsibility for ethical and organizational excellence.
