Campaign for Education in Chad, "L'education c'est la vie"

Njamena (Chad) - It was held on Wednesday, September 18 the launch of the third workshop of the National Campaign on Right to Education in Chad sponsored by ACRA in collaboration with several national partners and international institutions.

The Minister of Education attended the initiative stressing that the campaign objectives based on key words access, frequency and quality of education fit into the government's strategy for the coming years.

Besides the presence of the Minister of Education, the workshop was attended by the country representative of UNICEF, UNESCO, UNHCR, EU and many other representatives of civil society.

It 'was underlined the importance of converging forces to send all the boys and girls at school and reduce the dropout rate. To achieve these objectives is essential awareness of parents who ACRA promotes working with the Fenapet, the National Federation which brings together the Parents Associations (EPA).

The National Campaign will end on October 18 with initiatives in all the villages and refugee camps in the areas of intervention (meetings with parents, theater forum, discussions with local authorities, distribution of materials) to support with a presence on the territory of the qualifying period of registration for the new school year.
