In this context, in 2013 The Urgent Run is founded; it is a global mobilization event, organized by the World Toilet Organization and sponsored by the United Nations, which involve thousands of people around the world with various kinds of running events. In Italy, the coordination of all the events is done by ACRA that, for three years now, is organizing many small Urgent Runs that animate the streets of various cities in Italy: amateur running events, accessible, fun and open to all.

ACRA adheres to Urgent Run even in Africa, where it is active with the right to water and health projects.
