ACRA is present in Senegal since 1984 in 9 out of 14 regions of the country (Dakar, Diourbel, Fatick, Kaffrine, Kédougou, Kaolack, Kolda, Louga, Matam, Saint Louis, Sèdhiou, Tambacounda, Thiès, and Ziguinchor) and operates in several areas: microfinance, water infrastructure, promotion and development of committee at community level for participatory management, agrobiodiversity / food security, traditional medicine, education.

ACRA concluded in 2009 a project of water supply and sanitation in the rural community of Coubalan ensuring adequate access to safe drinking water and basic sanitation to the rural community of Coubalan and its 17,000 inhabitants.

In 2009 ACRA completed another important project for the upgrading of traditional medicine in Mali and Senegal, which has strengthened the skills and knowledge of traditional healers in the two countries and promoted dialogue with health care institutions.
The activities of two important programs in the field of food security and economic have been completed: one for the exploitation of underutilized species (fonio, Moringa and baobabs) and the other in support of the URMECS (Union of Rural Mutual Savings and Credit Banks.)
Finally, the commitment of ACRA continued in the socio-educational field, in particular through the coordination of a program to prevent the exploitation of child labor.
