PROJECTS

In the context of the needs and development priorities of the country, ACRA in partnership with local associations, authorities and state agencies decided to work for the access and sustainable management of natural resources (especially water), for an improved access to renewable energy and for the development of economic opportunities for the most vulnerable and marginalized rural areas of the country.

ACRA works in Tanzania since 2005 with projects aiming at developing infrastructure for water supply and institution capacity building, both in the Zanzibar archipelago and in the highland district of Njombe.

The association is also developing a program of rural electrification and use of forest resources in the mountain chain Livingston - Ludewa district, - a pro-poor tourism project and a project for the support for the micro and small enterprises in Zanzibar.
