From January 1 2013 to December 31, 2015

Starting from the '90s many States have changed their school programs over and over again, leaving also experimental spaces to the independent School Boards to try to find a cultural response to the changes in today's society, caused by the flows of globalized economy and by the mixing of different cultures, deriving from the migration processes and from new forms of communication.
Many recent studies, however, have revealed a deficit of knowledge by the actors on formal education in Italy in relation to development issues, due to the weakness of public policies. But, in this context of international crisis, it has become even more urgent to increase social and civil competences to promote eradication of poverty, expansion of justice and of social equality and human rights. An important role in this process of change is played by the migrants, who are a resource not only at an economic level but also cultural, thanks to their ability to be and live contemporarily in a space that crosses the political and geographic borders.
