Un bando per raccontare le migrazioni in modo alternativo
Come viene raccontato il fenomeno della migrazione?
È aperto un bando per selezionare buone pratiche europee che promuovano narrazioni alternative sulla migrazione e l'inclusione. L'iniziativa è promossa dal progetto europeo di ACRA e partner "On the road ORRAJT".

IL CONTESTO
In tutta Europa, la migrazione, il diritto di asilo e l'inclusione sono temi divisivi e polarizzanti in ambito pubblico. Il modo in cui si parla e si scrive delle persone che migrano in Europa e di quelle percepite come tali continua a influenzare in modo significativo il discorso politico e la percezione individuale.
Le persone migranti, continuano a essere descritte in modo negativo, senza particolare approfondimento, con l'uso di narrazioni poco realistiche e prive di sfumature.
Le narrazioni ci influenzano a livello inconscio, plasmando il modo in cui pensiamo e vediamo gli altri.
Il bando promuove un approccio al cambiamento narrativo intorno al dibattito sulla migrazione, che riconosca prospettive plurali e inclusive.
IL BANDO
Nell'ambito del progetto UE Erasmus+ "ORRAJT - On the Road: New Routes, Alternative Journeys and fair Tracks. Challenging perspectives on migration, walking different narratives" - realizzato da ACRA e partner - il bando, sviluppato in collaborazione con il programma Never Alone, mira a identificare e selezionare almeno 10 buone pratiche tra quelle iniziative di successo che promuovono nuove narrazioni sulla migrazione a livello locale, nazionale ed europeo.
I risultati saranno presentati e discussi online in una serie di webinar ospitati dalla Narrative Change Platform.

How is the phenomenon of migration being told?
A call is open to select good European practices that promote alternative narratives on migration and inclusion. The initiative is promoted by the European project "On the road ORRAJT" implemented by ACRA and partners.

BACKGROUND
Across Europe, migration, asylum, and inclusion remain both salient and polarising topics in the public domain. And how people migrating to Europe and those perceived as such are spoken and written about, continues to significantly influence overall political discourse, individual perception, voting behaviour, and public policy decisions. Regretfully, they continue for the large part to be portrayed either in a limited way or downright negatively, with little nuance and with the use of narratives that do not contribute to change the perspective of a community, place or group. The narratives impact us at an unconscious level, shaping the way we think about and see others.
The call promotes an approach to narrative change around the migration debate that recognizes plural and inclusive perspectives.
THE CALL
In the framework of EU-funded Erasmus+ project "ORRAJT - On the Road: New Routes, Alternative Journeys and fair Tracks. Challenging perspectives on migration, walking different narratives” and in collaboration with Never Alone program, this call aims to identify and select at least 10 good or promising practices among successful initiatives promoting new narratives about migration at the local, national, and European level.
The results will be presented and discussed online in a set of webinars hosted by Narrative Change Platform.
